Hello.

From now on we require that if you are posting pictures of models in threads that are not dedicated to that specific model, YOU HAVE TO NAME THEM.

Really, as a courtesy to other forum users, you should already be doing this. But there are prominent members here that do not and we are asking that you take a few extra seconds to name them.

This rule change will come into force on October 1st 2021.

What we do NOT want to see is people reporting every post that does not name a model. What we DO want to see is posters reported if they are repeat offenders.

I just think it will make this a more accessible and user friendly forum. If you have any questions, complaints, insults or other, this thread will be left open and you can post them below.

Just to be clear: I post a lot in the "Best Non-Nude" thread. Moving forward, should put a name to each photo, regardless if they're a porn star, mainstream model, actress, etc?

Also, what should one do in a case like this, where a face isn't shown?

I've been naming anybody I know that has a last name since I hit 5000 posts. I see no point in naming "Sarah", "Laura", or "Nancy" without a last name, it adds no real value. I assume that's what you mean by this rule, but clarify if I've misunderstood. I don't consider a second initial a last name, e.g. "Payton G" except in rare circumstances with well known models, e.g. "Nancy A". Personally, I'd rather you enforce adding links to where the picture came from rather than the name, but its a step forward.

Second and more important point, you do realize that by enforcing this rule, you are going to trigger the model-naming bug I've been complaining about for months on a massive scale? Expect to see lots of messed up posts and nobody it seems except me knows how to work around all the variations. Hopefully this will trigger some action on fixing the bug.

To avoid the most common versions of the bug, post in this order:

Name1
[image1 and/or link1]

[image2+ and/or link2+]
Name 2+

Doesn't work in every case like 2 or more names on the same line (put those after the image/link not above to avoid the bug).

I don't see any harm in naming a model whether she has a surname or secondary initial. It might be enough for people who want to find more of that particular model.

In terms of the bug, don't worry about that. People should be able to see through it easily enough to see the model name.

Thank you Steve. Very much appreciated. Old school guys like myself will like this very much. I always try to name models in my posts. But sometimes the names do become elusive especially in the (Eastern) European market. That's why 21sextury (naming the lady) and Denys DeFrancesco's DDF sites (naming both - the guy and the lady) are so good. Pornworld owns the DDF sites now. With the new owners? Meh. Not so much. I stopped subscribing to them.

Is this being done, in part, because link unfurling by default is not coming back? We had if for about a week and then it disappeared, no explanation as to why it was turned on then turned off.

No, it's being done to make it easier for users to know what models are being posted.

Been doing this as a courtesy for a while because I know how many times I'd see a model I really wish was named so I don't have to do it myself. Plus, makes the ID section less crowded

Hi Steve Ihave been abroad some time (Afghanistan :suicide I didint reed the new rules and postetd a lot of links but not more then 20 links or 7 pitc, naming pitcs isnt problembut in links there is also male actors do I HAVE TO NAME THEM TOO, or just female,and for many of them I know just know they "artistic" name, do I have to change all my links or you willbe a friend and let me name it all in my future posting. Its lots of job for me know, cos there lot of links where name is not included in the same name of the link. 🤘🤛🙏🙏🙏🙏

You can name the male performer if you want but female performer is always required.

No, you don't have to go back through old posts and edit them. Just make sure they're named from now on.

Just curious, how's this working out? I see more posts with names in them than before but there are certainly some members who either haven't got the message yet or refuse to post names. Have you had many people "snitching" on members who won't posts names and have you gone after many members for this?

We've received no reports that I'm aware of so far. If there are repeat offenders still not doing what we ask, we need to know who they are!

I know nothing about the internet/computers. However, why not just configure the forum with a "Submisson Template"? Before an image will post, a box with a name has to be filled out.

It's a decent idea but as far as I'm aware, no such configuration is available with the forum's software.
